Raw Foods Diet: Day 13
I feel as if the worst is over in regards to any detoxification symptoms. My canker sore is going away, with the help of the topical treatment, and everything is going well. I slept a little longer than usual today (8.5 hours) but I’m assuming my body needed the extra rest.
Mind
An off day for the mind, but only because I didn’t give it much of a fighting chance.
Body
Food Eaten
I did NOT like what I ate today. For some reason, I decided to eat high fat, and I really think that decision has come back to haunt me in multiple ways.
Meal 1
2 bananas
Meal 2
1 banana and 1 orange
Meal 3
1 banana and 1 pineapple slice
Meal 4
Sprouted pumpkin seeds and sprouted sunflower seeds. Each package was 2.5 oz. I ate about 3/4 of the sunflower seeds, and 1/4 of the pumpkin seeds.
Meal 5
Guacamole consisting of: 1 finely chopped portobello mushroom cap, small chunk of an onion, 1 tomato, 2 avocados. I spread this over the cap of the same portobello mushroom, and ate it with my hands. This was absolutely delicious.
Overall
I now realize why so many people don’t recommend eating a diet high in fat. I truly don’t feel this is the right type of diet for me. It made me feel pretty awful. Very tiring, and I didn’t have the best time in the bathroom either. I’m now firmly in the low fat for raw foods camp.

yay monty python!! ya to go from no fat and a high water content to a high fat, oily meal i bet would make your stomach go crazy. i bet though that if you do that every day had one meal higher in fat, that you would get used to it and it wouldnt be so bad. like when some people go from meat to vegetarian, their bathroom times are sometimes not as fun for several weeks while their bodies get used to it.

Rebecca,
I know! It was especially delicious!!
Blake,
I went from a diet high in fat to one that was non existent in fat without any trouble at all. I don’t think it’s the “change” that necessarily does it, but what you are eating.
