Raw Foods Diet: Day 15
The official half way point! It feels good to feel good again! I went back to my normal activity levels today, although my sleeping schedule doesn’t seem to be as rock solid as it was before. I need to make more of an effort to get it back.
Mind
Oddly enough, I haven’t remembered a dream in quite awhile. I have been keeping up with my morning pages, but my dream recall has actually gone way down.
Body
Food Eaten
I’m not eating enough, but I have discovered a true key to doing the raw foods diet: frozen bananas. They make every smoothie taste incredible, and they don’t go bad. I have a whole huge stack of them now. Plus my hands don’t get all banana-y when handling them! It was smoothie day today!
Meal 1
1 apple
Meal 2
A smoothie consisting of: 2 handfuls of baby spinach and 2 frozen bananas.
Meal 3
A smoothie consisting of: 1 celery stalk, 1 handful of lettuce, 1 handful of baby spinach, 1 orange, 20 blueberries, and 2 frozen bananas. Chris’ Ultimate Energy Smoothie! If I could describe this in one word, it would be alive! It literally felt alive, as in, I could just taste how nutritious it was. It lasted me quite awhile too, and got me through a tough workout.
Meal 4
A smoothie consisting of: 2 handfuls of baby spinach and 3 frozen bananas. This has to be the most relaxing and refreshing drink known to man.
Overall
This was definitely an up day. A complete contrast to the day before. I had a lot of fun, and I learned a lot. I have a huge stack of books, printed e-books, and audio books, and I have just been pouring through them on a frantic pace. Good stuff!
