Raw Foods Diet: Day 18
Sleep was again a bit long. I woke up, and turned off my alarm clock. This is a habit I thought I was completely rid of, but I guess it hasn’t completely left yet. Is the magic of perfect sleep on a raw foods diet truly gone?
Mind
Holy moly! I kept waking up and falling back asleep. Each time I would have a dream, I would count it, and fall back asleep. I ended up remembering seven dreams in one night. Truly bizarre.
Body
Food Eaten
Down to my last four frozen bananas. The other bananas are still quite green, and PeaPod isn’t coming until tomorrow…
Meal 1
A smoothie consisting of: 2 frozen bananas, 4 strawberries, 20 blueberries, and 1 orange.
Meal 2
1 Orange
Meal 3
1 Green Bell Pepper
Meal 4
A smoothie consisting of: 2 frozen bananas, and 2 handfuls of baby spinach.
Meal 5
2 CONVENTIONAL avocados, 1 apple, and 1 container of CONVENTIONAL pre-cut pineapples and strawberries. The first conventional produce I have eaten thus far, but I was quite hungry, and pretty much all the organic produce at Whole Foods was far too under-ripe. What’s up with that?
Meal 6
1 apple
Overall
Had a pretty good day! I saw the movie Cloverfield, for a second time, but this time it was giving me a bit of a motion sickness. I am guessing this is because I saw it in a movie theater. I normally never get motion sickness, and I have seen movies with similar camera work before in a movie theater. Hmmm…
Also bizarre is the fact that none of my body measurements changed at all. I think that is the first time this has happened to me thus far.

That is weird my Whole Foods has plenty of ripe produce, what’s up with yours? Does non organic make such a difference in your plan?
Perhaps put your alarm clock in your closet. Then you have to actually get up to turn it off.

what is it about a diet that you think can give you regular sleep? Whenever i do something new and exciting, I find that for the first few days it is easy to get up, then after the excitement wears off it is back to wanting, or being able to sleep more. I will of course wake up right before my alarm goes off but I find this annoying because that means I could have gotten those last two minutes of sleep. I love waking up early and being a morning person, but in reality I do not leap out of bed singing and fully functional, it takes me a good hour or so to fully wake up, even if I got up at 2 in the afternoon. perhaps you just one of these people too.

Deborah,
I wish my Whole Foods got their stuff from the same location. Non-organic isn’t 100% necessary, but I just prefer it, for quite a lot of health, and taste, reasons.
Thanks for the alarm clock idea!
Giant,
I don’t believe there are just people who wake up that way. That’s giving your sleeping habits an excuse. It absolutely must mean something if before I was able to get up easily, and now I am not.
