Vegetables are a must on a diet. I suggest carrot cake, zucchini bread, and pumpkin pie.

Plethora of Fruit - Raw Foods Diet: Day 2

Raw Foods Diet: Day 2
Today was quite good. I had a lot of energy, both mentally and physically. Nothing exciting or earth-shattering. I am on my way still at developing my sleeping schedule. I am doing this by going to bed earlier and earlier each night My only other option would be to stay up all night and all day to reset my internal clock, and that would have adverse affects on this trial, so I decided against it. It’s going well so far!

Mind
I felt good today. Not great, but good. Quite clear. I feel that once I get a firmer grip on my sleeping patterns, my morning pages and dreaming abilities will reveal more about my creativity than they are right now.

Body

  • Weight: – 163.8 +/-: -2.2 today/-2.2 total
  • Blood Pressure: – 103/77 +/-: -13/1 today/-13/1 total
  • Body Temperature (two averages): – 97.3 +/-: +0.3 today/+0.3 total
  • Resting Heart Rate (three averages): – 64 +/-: -4 today/-4 total
  • Food Eaten
For the purposes of this section, if the last time I ate was more than an hour ago, whatever I ate becomes its own meal.

Again, I had a lack of vegetables. Tomorrow I will be getting a lot of raw food delivered here, at a pretty fair price. I will also try to go to Whole Foods, but at a worse case scenario, I will have organic kale and organic lettuce for sure tomorrow.

    Meal 1
    1 banana and 1 orange

    Meal 2
1 banana and 1 avocado and a shake that consisted of:
3 strawberries, 3 bananas, the juice of one orange, and 1 tsp. of raw cacao nibs
This was delicious! A little thick, but that is what I expected with three bananas.

    Meal 3
    6 strawberries and 1 banana

    Meal 4
    1 orange

I did not have enough food to eat today. I was quite hungry when working out, and it stopped me from continuing. At one point, I even had to go back up to my apartment just to get Meal 3 in. I was absolutely starving. Even after eating that, however, I still wasn’t quite satisfied. With 60 bananas coming tomorrow, I should have a good amount to keep me full for a bit!

    Overall
I felt pretty normal today, with a little bit of an increase in energy. Normally, when my sleeping schedule gets as hectic as this, I feel very sluggish, so I would probably have even more energy under different conditions. We shall see if that holds true.

Right now, I have a bit of a pain in my chest, almost like a heart burn. Something like how it feels to have a pocket of air in your throat, so I guess the word pain isn’t the right word. Either way, I’m not too sure if it has anything at all to do with the raw diet, but it is noteworthy at the least.

Good luck on your trial diet! It sounds like an awful lot of work. To me a good sleep is as important as a good meal. I hope you succeed in re-balancing the time. I will be interested to read your daily progress.

Dude, you need more food! It’s a good thing you’ve got more arriving tomorrow! I would guess that your little bubble in your chest is from eating so much fruit, you consume foods that are higher in acidity, like the citrus and strawberries. I get that feeling when I eat lots of fruits and veggies too, I find it’s cured with carbs and milk haha.

Good luck on continuing and hopefully you won’t go as hungry tomorrow!

Oh, and I loved that quote at the top of the blog

      Mad Dog,

Thanks! It’s actually not a lot of work at all. Because I am not obsessing over calories, this diet is MUCH easier than any other I have ever conducted. The prep time is pretty minimal. If I’m hungry, I eat what I need, and if I’m not, I don’t. Because there is so little cooking, read: zero, involved, making my food takes no time at all.

I also agree about sleep. Both are important and neither should be neglected.

      Kate,

Hah! I definitely needed more food. I’m not too sure it’s from eating too much fruit, as I don’t know what property of fruit would do that. Maybe I ate too much too quickly or ate too soon after exercise.

      That’s definitely a good quote!

      Rebecca,

Thanks for the kind words, I will try to!
