Giant,

It WAS easier. And has been for me for different periods of time. Waking up groggy just means you interrupted a deep sleep phrase, and not an REM one. Timing has a big part with how you feel when you wake up. Oversleeping, and a pattern of it, definitely results in that.

Great idea about having something to wake up for though. I agree, I do find myself jumping out of bed, regardless of how tired I am, when I know I have a lot of fun things to do ahead of me.

Deborah,

Thanks! I agree. I am going to need to be careful.

Hey hey to you Chris for going this long on the raw food diet. Your determination and dedication will get you whatever you desire in life.
All I can say is be very careful when you decide to add other foods to your diet.
I liked the creative blog about needing a reason to get up in the morning. Very interesting and an idea I will pass on to others.

also, it always helps if you have to get up for something, versus should get up. if you should get up then its not that you have to get up, so you could always sleep a little more which is why you prolly want to go back to sleep when you are getting up. if you have to get up, like for a job, or school, or because you are starting something new and the excitement forces you to get up, its much easier. since you dont have to get up for anything really. I would say think of something new to do that day that spikes your interest, something adventurous. a new workout. a new place to go check out. perhaps a new coffee shop or hiking path you wanna go to. having these things to look forward to always helps build somet excitement about the day and as soon as you open your eyes you think about it and it helps to get you out of bed. like a kid when you woke up on christmas morning, you shot straight up, at least i did, and then raced downstairs to see what was brought for you. that excitement can do wonders.

cant say that sleeping will ever become easier to do, at least the getting up part. but ive found that when i do a lot of exercise I actually sleep more soundly so when I wake up after even 6 hours I feel more refreshed. dont slack on the exercise too much.
