Giant,

Well, for the lipolytic process to happen, your body needs to go through the glucose reserves first. Interesting that this diet gives you quite a lot of glucose. I wonder how that would apply to increasing the reserve. Logically, it would point to your body not needing to burn as much fat, but I'm not sure of the specifics.

As far as BAT and WAT, I'm not sure it would favor one or the other. You want BAT to uptake fat, to burn it, but this diet is very little in fat, so maybe that says something as well.

Deborah,

I will probably take a break for awhile before I fully decide on what I will do. I am thinking of trying the idea of cycling carbohydrates. Thanks!

Rebecca,

Hah! I think my body might reject that. It does sound delicious though!!

What's next after the trial? I would love to see the affects that a complete change would do. How about only pizza for 30 days? The Lou Malnati's diet.

Are you going on to another way of eating, or do you want to take a break for awhile? This site has been very educational for me. Keep up your great writing. Looking forward to your next endeavor.

ah yes, i like the little insert on biochemistry. how do you think that the raw foods diet plays into the lipolytic process, i.e. do you think that it causes a greater amount of BAT and WAT to be metabolized as a result of the diet. also, do you think that protein also plays a part in the metabolic machine? by the protein playing a part do you think that you are burning muscle too? after this, what type of diet do you think you will stick too on an everyday basis or are you going to do more research before making a decision?
