Plethora of Fruit - Raw Foods Diet: Day 27

Raw Foods Diet: Day 27
The days are normalizing now, and I am looking forward to this being over. I am very glad I took this on, but I am excited about all the new challenges, so I am looking forward to the start of others!

Mind
I actually had an incredibly wild and imaginative dream. Did you know that dinosaurs exist, can speak English, and are rather friendly, when given a chance?

Yargh! The Peapod saga continues!! The bananas came today, but they were all green. Very green! I called up Peapod and tomorrow they are going to deliver more, and I will switch the green ones, for some, hopefully, edible versions. Just one more reason this diet would be difficult for me to continue to do. I resorted to avocados to get my calories in.

    Meal 1
    1 apple

    Meal 2
    A smoothie consisting of 100g spinach, (4) 550g banana

    Meal 3
    1 avocado, 1 banana

    Meal 4
Made some guacamole with lime, tomato, onion, and two avocados, and the stem of a portobello mushroom. I spread it over the cap. Unfortunately, I only ate about half. For some reason, this did not taste as good as the last time I had it. I’m not sure why. I probably still consumed quite a lot of calories here as I ate some of the guacamole-esque mixture. This was my goal.

    Meal 5
    (1) 139g banana

I’m guessing this was a lot, relative to yesterday, of calories, with all the avocados, but it’s all guesswork.

    Overall
Well, aside from the Peapod fiasco, it wasn’t that bad of a day. What will my plans be, diet wise, after this trial? Well, they will be to eat meat. I wasn’t a vegetarian before this trial, and I absolutely love the taste of meat. This has not yet changed. I am not sure if I will try veganism again, but I probably will. If I can eat a high-fruit, low fat, raw vegan food diet for 30 days, I think I could stick with a regular vegan one. I won’t do a daily log about it, but I will include some updates.

What I love about these kinds of trials and challenges is how much they help me out! I would have never been able to do this without the tireless effort of those who read, comment, and contribute to this blog. Thanks again!

Have you ever tried making mock salmon? Or even recipes like mock chicken? It takees a bit of preparation but I find that that helps me to conquer some of my meat cravings. Ever since I’ve started this Raw diet my craving and temptations have steered away from pies and cakes and donuts to really meaty foods, more specifically fishes like salmon and tuna. Which is good I guess??….considering I hardly have any more cravings for those refined and heavily processed foods anymore. I am guessing the fruits have something to do with satisfying my sweet tooth.

I have been following your raw diet and am also going through a 30 day trial myself and whats so weird is that my cravings have changed dramatically..but in a very good way considering how I used to crave for really bad foods.

Good luck with the diet! I will continue to follow your journeey as it is really helping me through mine!

      Anne,

      Thanks for commenting!

I have not tried making mock salmon or mock chicken? Do these require a dehydrator? Also, are they low in fat? If not, it is something I definitely wished I had tried. Maybe I still have time for it? Could you get me the recipe perhaps?

I agree with your sentiment about cravings, for the most part. The only time I crave foods now is when I am hungry. I can usually solve that with some food, if I have any.

I have had the EXACT same experience as you!! Carbohydrate-rich food used to be my main vice, but now, it is the meaty foods that I have been craving. I knew I had a problem when I was envious of my cat’s food.

If I can make it through this trial, I am absolutely positive that you can too. If you need any encouragement, you can also Contact Me, using the Contact page on the sidebar, or via my email at admin@growstronger.com.

One fantastic benefit of doing this trial, at least for me, is that you will have an extreme sense of control over your eating habits, regardless of whether or not you decide to stick with eating raw foods. Just remind yourself that if you can get through that much time eating raw foods, than you can do anything!
