Plethora of Fruit - Raw Foods Diet: Day 3

Raw Foods Diet: Day 3
Alright, I’m tired, I admit it. I won’t be publishing this post tonight because I don’t trust myself and will want to check everything over again in the morning. I took a nap today, for about three hours, instead of sleeping. I did this because I wanted to get my sleeping schedule fixed sooner rather than later. The thinking was that it would help keep me awake until later that night, when I could go to bed, but it wouldn’t give me enough sleep to where I wasn’t tired. We shall see how it pans out.

As far as everything else goes, this day was a marked improvement. I was pretty focused throughout the day on what needed to be done.

Mind
Still no dreams to report, and I am still finding that doing any kind of writing in the morning is tiresome and bleak. I find this often to be more exhausting than my workout routine. Is that saying that I am pushing my mind too hard, or my body not hard enough?

My Mom would have been so proud, as I ate enough baby spinach for at least a week! All thanks to those green smoothies, and the kind folks who put the organic baby spinach into those clear and easy-to-read plastic pouches!Meal 1
1 banana and 1 apple and 1 avocado. I’ve started to eat avocados where I just peel the skin off, and eat around the pit. It’s fantastically delicious!

    Meal 2
1 banana and 1 shake consisting of: 2 bananas and 2 big handfuls of baby spinach. After drinking about a glass of it, I added two tangelos, two strawberries, and 1 teaspoon of raw cacao nibs, for extra energy. The reason for this was the baby spinach and the bananas together were very calming, and I needed a boost of energy, so I added some sweeter fruit. You’d probably think that baby spinach and banana together would not taste well, but you would be wrong. Oh, so wrong. It is delicious. Very calming and soothing. The baby spinach just makes the banana less sweet. I love it.

    Meal 3
    1 avocado and 1 banana.

    Meal 4
1 shake consisting of: 3 bananas and 3 handfuls of baby spinach. I had another one of these bad boys, but this time in a larger quantity, before I went to bed. Eating this and the avocado would be a great bedtime routine to help me calm down. I’m going to try it next!

I got a ton of food today! The PeaPod.com delivery guy came a little before 5, with my massive amount of produce, especially bananas. Before that, I made a trip out to Trader Joe’s. Their stuff is definitely cheaper than Whole Foods, but it is also much smaller! The apples looked like those crab apples that I used to see back in the day. The organic bananas were 29 cents each, placing them 10 cents cheaper than PeaPod.com. Unfortunately, there weren’t many of them, and the quality of the PeaPod ones were better. Obviously, Whole Foods still ranks supreme here, but hauling that many bananas back to my apartment is too much work, so I will stick with PeaPod.com for now.

    Overall
Today was good. I took a picture of the massive amount of fruit and vegetables that came into my possession, but alas, the image appears to have somehow gotten corrupted. I’ll tell you what’s corrupted: technology! Right when you think it is making your life more convenient and easier, it smacks you across the face with a big fat error. You find yourself at a loss for what to do because you have grown dependent on the beast.

I should probably go now, I think my camera is listening in.

Very entertaining! That’s amazing how you are able to eat so little and have so much energy! The bananas and spinach sound terrible, but I admit, I’m curious. How do Cacao nibs compare to chocolate?

I like your last revelation about dependence on technology. This same thought has often haunted me, too. Perhaps a cabin in the woods would be more preferable. Your diet would be probably be more healthy, in that case.

When do you hear about the results of the blood test?

      Rebecca,

Entertaining, eh? Well, at least I have that going for me! Trust me, the bananas and baby spinach are delicious. Try it yourself!

      Mad Dog,

I dream of living in a cabin for a year, away from everything. Maybe someday I will be able to do that. I have already heard about the results for the blood test, but they won’t be revealed until I get the second set after my trial is over. This way, I can show a true comparison.
