Plethora of Fruit - Raw Foods Diet: Day 5

Raw Foods Diet: Day 5
I had a good night of sleep, thankfully. I didn’t even wake up once. When I did get up, I was extremely refreshed. There has definitely been a major shift already. There is no longer a groggy waking up period. Upon waking up, I am ready to start my day immediately. This benefit almost makes eating this way worth it, all on its own.

Mind
Nothing major to report at all. I didn’t do much writing, I didn’t recall any dreams, and I felt mentally tired. It wasn’t too serious, just almost like a general fatigue. Pretty uninteresting, and not nearly as exciting as yesterday was.

Body

  • Weight: – 163.2 +/-: -0.2 today/-2.8 total
  • Blood Pressure: – 105/79 +/-: -2/+3 today/-16/+1 total
  • Body Temperature (two averages): – 97.9 +/-: +0.5 today/+0.9 total
  • Resting Heart Rate (three averages): – 77 +/-: 0 today/+9 total
  • Food Eaten
I didn’t eat enough today. I just wasn’t that hungry, I’m not really sure why. Although, to be fair, I don’t think I gave enough effort.

    Meal 1
2 bananas and a smoothie consisting of: 6 strawberries, 3 tangelos, and 2 bananas.

    Meal 2
    1 avocado and 4 bananas

    Meal 3
    2 bananas

    Meal 4
    2 bananas

See what I mean? I’m guessing it was eating the avocado that helped in leading me to feel sluggish, which, in turn, made me not that hungry. I have to make sure to eat the majority of my fruit first before eating any fat, like that in avocados.

Although it doesn’t look like a lot, at least I got a fair amount of bananas in. Those are by far the biggest calorie-dense foods that I eat.
    Overall
Today was pretty boring. I felt sluggish, and nothing exciting happened physically or mentally. I didn’t exercise, as I felt so tired. When I sat down to read some Vonnegut, I had an overcoming urge to fall asleep. And his stories are far from boring!

Luckily, I didn’t, as I needed to go get my cat from the vet, but that urge was definitely there. I think this is a detoxification symptom that I just am going to have to ride out. Let’s hope it gets better soon!

It seems like you need something more! What about raw fish? it might give you some energy! This sounds very hard, I admire you for doing it!! I definitely could NOT.

I would agree with the detox idea. your digestive system may finally be getting used to this diet and in doing so it lowered your appetite. apples are very calorie dense as well and fairly low on the glycemic index, try one or two of those too. otherwise perhaps you should listen to rebecca and find a good fish place to get some sushi, well sashimi i guess would be the proper term. stay stong man!

      Kate,

The cat is fine now, thanks for asking!

      Rebecca and Blake,

Unfortunately, this is a 100% Vegan Raw Foods Diet. Fish would not be allowed.
