Kate,

Thanks for the comment! My sleep schedule has dramatically improved, let's hope it stays this way.

Mad Dog,

Things like impaired wound healing, general fatigue, a lot of fluid retention, etc.

I wouldn't say I got supreme calmness afterwards. It wasn't like I got enlightened or anything like that. What would it mean if I DID experience that though?

Giant,

Hahah! No, there wasn't any lightheaded-ness, but I appreciate your concern. I'm working my way up on the veggies. It will be a fruit dominated diet though for sure although.

Rebecca,

This was a beautiful comment, thanks for it. "However you label the voice that inspires you and draws you to your true path, it is there if you listen." Very, very true.

That euphoria is a wonderful feeling. I feel that in certain moments of utter peace, for me, in nature, or near the water. I have felt in at times when I could see with certainty the path I was to follow. It's almost a great relief, that moments like that exist. However you label the voice that inspires you and draws you to your true path, it is there if you listen.

I love those euphoric moments, as long as it wasnt accompanied by a lightheadedness, cause then maybe you just stood up to fast. glad to see that some veggies are making their way in. also, i like how your heart rate dropped today, that is a good sign of being overall healthier and calmer. rock on dude!

What are the signs of protein deficiency, anyway?

In my experience, an epiphany, such as yours would always emanate from within.

But, you did not answer my question: along with a feeling of euphoria, did you also experience a feeling of supreme calmness and/or a sudden sense of contentment or peace?

really interesting blog today!

8pm is pretty early to be going to bed..but it certainly is an improvement from your past sleep schedule! I'm interested about the euphoric moment that came over you - aren't they the best? lol. That's such a wonderful feeling, I'm glad you couldn't wipe the smile off your face.

Jim,

Thanks for the comment. I hope you enjoy your stay here!

Mad Dog,

This is the controversial part, which is also why I am doing so much testing. Will this diet be enough to sustain me? Many animals, including our close relatives, eat a diet that, under ideal conditions, is mostly fruit. Many different tribes and communities around the world get a very small amount of protein, and according to the Max Planck Institute, 25 grams of protein is more than enough. Is all of this true? Who knows, but I aim to find out. I have far from experienced ANY signs of protein deficiency yet. Quite the opposite thus far.

I'm not so sure it was a divine presence; in fact, I am confident it came from something inside me. The question is, was it related to the diet at all, or strictly a result of meditating and enjoying the moment?

I just had a thought about the raw foods diet. There seems to be a complete lack of protein. I am missing something? Perhaps you use nuts or something else as a protein source?

Maybe while in the chapel; meditating, you experienced a divine presence. That would explain the euphoric feeling. Did you also feel calm and strangely at peace, at least for a little while?

Interesting blog
