Plethora of Fruit - Raw Foods Diet: Day 9

Raw Foods Diet: Day 9
At least I have some sort of sleeping schedule, even if it is a crazy one. I am having some detoxification symptoms that are pretty annoying. These include things like: waking up pretty dry, a cold sore that hurts when I talk, etc. But, I don’t seem to be getting as tired as I was before. So that’s good.

Mind
Remembered a dream! I also did my morning page, again in the sauna, and listened to an audio book. I love writing in the sauna. It’s so intense. I find it similar to the trick of holding your breath, in meditation, to regain focus and not think about anything. The heat just makes me either focus on how hot it is or the writing that I’m doing.

Got to my goal of 15 bananas today! Also, I made this smoothie and then froze it. I was going to use my ice cream maker, but I couldn’t find the one part of the attachment for the KitchenAid. Either way, it was still great! I even made some ice cube popsicles with toothpicks!

    Meal 1
    2 bananas and 1 avocado

    Meal 2
A smoothie consisting of: 3 kale leaves (de-veined), 3 bananas, and 1 tangelo

    Meal 3
    2 bananas, 1 apple, and 1 orange

    Meal 4
    1 apple and 1 orange

    Meal 5
2 bananas and a smoothie consisting of: 3 bananas, 2 oranges, and 2 chunks of pineapple

    Meal 6
Frozen smoothie consisting of: 2 bananas, 1 orange, and 1 chunk of pineapple. I ate most of this, but not all of it. It was quite tasty.

    Overall
This was a good day physically and mentally. I did a lot on both fronts; however, I did wake up feeling pretty dry, and my cold sore is still bothering me. It hurt a lot when I talked. I think I’m only going to take a Resting Heart Rate measurement once from now on. An “upon rising” measurement is all I am really interested in.

how do you mean waking up dry? like thirsty?

also, why dont you just do a temp reading in the morning when you do a heart rate? I have seen many studies backing up your results with body temp fluctuating throughout the day, and it has a lot to do with sleeping patterns too. its also intersting that in terms of this body temp cycle, a biphasic sleep schedule fits most nicely with this concept, and the idea of a siesta that many cultures have. but anyway, I know that your heart rate is most useful for assesing your health for the day and the previous night if taken in the morning. If it is upon waking, it means that you either did not rest well, or that there is something else that you body is trying to do that is interfering with its normal function, i.e. fighting off an impending cold, or sickness, or trying to repair itself after some considerable stress you put on it.

It sounds like you’re having some bad symptoms! Cold sores really hurt bad, I feel for you. The frozen smoothies sound delicious, by the way.

      Giant,

By “dry” I mean dry face, dry lips, sometimes a dry throat, etc.

I agree, that is a good idea. Would be easier to just do it once. A higher than normal temperature morning reading could indicate very similar things.

      Rebecca,

I know! Stupid cold sores. They are delicious. Very much so. Thanks for the comment!
