Hello Debbie!
Congratulations on believing in yourself. I think that a lot of people seem to take care of only one aspect of themselves and neglect the other. There are those who spend all day enriching their minds but neglect the body, and those who spend lots of time on the body but neglect the mind.

I am glad you are taking the approach you are. There is a saying I have heard that I believe goes, "God helps those who help themselves." I take this to mean that unless you have made yourself healthy, and have respect for yourself, others will not respect you.

We are working on getting the forums back online, but in the mean time, if you have any questions about your running, feel free to ask away. Also, how far along are you in your running buildup? The beginning is always so hard, but also very exciting. You will be sore in places you didnt know you had muscles, you will progress fairly quickly, and you will notice huge differences in how you feel and act during the day. It is like discovering a new you! It is also one of the oldest activities that humans have done. We were running in the plains of Africa at the start of the Homo genus, so what you are now doing is connecting with your most ancient of ancestors.

Hello, I am so excited that this site is back up. I have just started running and could use some encouragement and advice. I want to grow stronger mentally and physically. Who knows where all this new found belief in myself will take me.
